Chicken Parm…sort of

This recipe is great for maintenance, but is easily adjusted for the Low Calorie Diet, while on hCG. (see below)

Take 4 uncooked boneless chicken breast halves and cut each half into two pieces.  Lay chicken in the bottom of a glass casserole dish.  Pour one bottle of Classico Tomato and Basil Sauce over chicken. (or your favorite sauce; just as long as it doesn’t have any sugar added) *Hint* Make sure you are looking at the list of ingredients and not the nutritional percentages when looking for added sugar.  There is natural sugar in many foods, like tomato, so the nutritional information will show a small percentage of sugar, even though there may be none added.  So make sure you are checking that actual added ingredient list for sugar, corn syrup, etc.  Place one layer of your favorite cheese over the sauce.  I love Havarti cheese.  You might prefer provolone or swiss.  Place into a preheated oven at 400 degrees and bake for 35 minutes. – cut into your thickest piece to make sure they are all cooked through completely.   The sauce was thin after cooking, so I cut up a piece of the chicken and poured some of the sauce over it.  SOOOO GOOD!!!

Adapt this to the 500 calorie diet! – Take your pre-measured 100 gram pieces of uncooked chicken and lay into a baking dish.  Put a layer of raw spinach leaves over the chicken.  Make  a simple sauce with diced tomatoes and plain tomato sauce.  Add in your favorite Italian spices like oregano, basil, garlic powder, onion, etc.  (I like to simmer this sauce ahead and keep it in a small jar in the fridge to use as needed) Pour sauce over chicken and bake at 400 degrees for about 30 minutes.  Enjoy!
